PE and Sport Premium

Schools receive funding specifically for primary school PE and sport. This funding is provided jointly by the Department for Education and Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The funding is used to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for our children.

The vision is that all pupils will leave primary school being physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. The objective is for primary schools to achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport they offer.  Funding is calculated by the number of primary-aged pupils.

Ashley Hill Multi Academy Trust believes that active involvement in PE and sport raises standards and addresses issues such as health and well-being, confidence and self-esteem.
