The School Council Team, are a group of children who work together to consider the impact of decisions made within the school and provide pupils with a voice under the guidance of a member of staff.  Through class circle time sessions, all pupils have the opportunity to raise issues, share ideas and take part in discussions that involve all of their classmates in reaching a democratic solution.  Wider issues that arise in circle times are discussed further at School Council, this ensures that as many pupil voices as possible are heard and considered. Opportunities arise in the wider community too enabling the team to demonstrate their skills of public speaking, debating, negotiating and collaboration with others.

• Year 1 and 2 (Robins) - Hunter and Gracie- Rose
• Year 3 and 4 (Herons) - Pretty-Rome and Casey
• Year 5 and 6 (Swans) - Thea and Max

We were delighted to be contacted by Pauline Prince from Amani UK. Pauline gave an assembly to all of the children and  explained what life is like for the children of Kaicheng. Through the year, our school link will become stronger and we are really looking forward to sharing educational experiences with the staff and the children of the school.
